I've waited three years to stand here before you,
to tell you,Lee-hom,how much we adore you.
Tonight has crept upon me quite out of the blue,
so start upon this story is what shall I do.
Long, long ago,in a land far away,
Lee-hom came to life one very fine day.
And his parents exclaimed,"Oh what a creation!"
But no,said the doctor,"he's the Taiwainese Sensation!"
With your beautiful voice and charm unsurpassed,
To the top of charts you went oh so fast,
and still you came here to sing as a 'Streeter,
And quickly became our spirited leader.
So silky smooth, you forever changed our sound,
but, more so,through you ,'StreeterLovewe have found.
It may be ironic that ,in fact, you're a freak,
but you humor alone at the knees makes us weak.
You throw down your glasses,and reach for the stars,
out still your voice crackes, unlike other popstars.
But watching your groove, we stand in awe everytime,
Lee-hom, I'll Walk in Memphis with you anytime.
Days Like These, I've ofen seen in movies,
scenes that make me cry.
I'am not quite sure how we'll continue on,
when it seems so wrong
to say, goodbye.
So remember,Mr.Popstar, when you travel in your vans,
we, the Springstreeters, are your number one fans.
So here's to you, Lee-hom,you remarkable fellow,
I hope you enjoy your Strawberry Jell-O.
